1186252_530163603735050_535051959_nBetween the July 14th Border Bash and Rhythm & Roots we brought books to sell at 8 events.  Rhythm & Roots is the last event until the Christmas season begins and with 155 books sold it was the biggest so far.  At Virginia Highlands Festival we sold 101 books, breaking the 100 book barrier for the first time.  We gave away close to 1000 postcards which will translate into some Kindle sales in the next few weeks.  But selling books is only part of the fun at Rhythm & Roots.  The real fun is meeting readers of the Why Mystery series.  As an author it’s a great feeling to meet some one who read one book and liked it so much they came back for more.  There was one man who, in August bought everything but  “Why Bristol?” because he didn’t like Nascar.  His wife sent him to get the missing book when she finished the first three.  My favorite though, has to be the 10 tear old pictured in front of my tent.  Her mom got her the first book last year because she was draw to the title of “Why Natasha?” and they came back for the next two.
