Today I worked on the first edit of “Why Knox?” Part III. Nattie and Nathan are making a leisurely trip from Bristol to Roanoke and make a stop at Blacksnake Meadery. Barb and I did this with some good friends last summer. For a mere $5 you get a sampling of various types of mead. The owners, Steve & Joanne Villers are great hosts and are eager to educate their visitors, who often know nothing about mead. I knew mead is a liquor made from honey, but that was all. If you are ever in the neighborhood of Dugspur, VA you won’t want to pass this up. I recommend a GPS though because they are out in the country. Here’s there website:
